Yolanda, who did the piecing pattern, tells me that this is a house in Urban Amish Town.  Nice place!

 

For me the challenge of this quilt was to start with two complementary colors (golden yellow and purplish blue), yet finish with a really coherent color scheme.  The window frames and door are darker golden yellows, while the picture frame is the sky and roof colors made much darker and less saturated, then mixed together.

 

I had to use the fabric in the windows because it pulls together all the bright colors.  It also gave the house its name.
